The COVID-19 global pandemic forced virtual video communications to become the new ‘normal’ in everyday life, especially in health care. Since then, COVID demanded that healthcare organizations adapt quickly and provide a critical solution to continue serving their patients safely, telehealth.

Patient and provider adoption had increased significantly. Telehealth claim lines increased 4,347% nationally from March 2019 to March 2020, as pictured on the left.

One Touch Telehealth’s patient survey data revealed that 95% of patients were “very likely” to “somewhat likely” to want to use video telehealth again.

“Healthcare organizations have to think about telehealth as a long-term strategy in the future ‘hybrid model’ of patient interactions.”

– Carrie Chitsey, Co-Founder and CEO of One Touch Telehealth

How Are These Features Used?

Image Capture

The Image Capture feature allows clinicians and patients to take high-resolution images at the click of a button during their video consultation. The 4K Ultra HD video quality will give patients and providers the ability to capture images in real-time.

Common Use Cases:

  • Do you need a real-time patient image? Whether it’s a wound or surface injury, providers can capture and save a high-resolution image during your consultation to help take a closer look at making a diagnosis.

  • Are you a dermatologist, perhaps, looking to diagnose a patient’s skin condition? Using the Image Capture feature can give you an exact crystal look.

In-Video Messaging

The In-Video Message feature improves and clarifies communication among patients and providers. Send a private message with a provider or send a chat to the whole video consult. This feature allows you to save time and get things done faster at the same time.

Common Use Cases:

  • Strengthen patient relationship management with a convenient, non-intrusive familiar way of communication.

  • With patients that are hard of hearing or speaking, this form of communication makes telehealth visits suitable for all.

In-Video Secure Link

Via in-video messaging, send links to online documents, videos, or content on your website. This feature provides instant sharing in a secured, HIPAA compliant portal.

Common Use Cases:

  • Clinicians can send secure, private links to patient forms, post-surgery content, videos, and more.

  • Providers can easily share links to patients’ lab results to discuss them in a 100% HIPAA-compliant, in-video consult.

Multi-Party Connect

Transfer calls to other clinicians, front office, or nursing staff within your organization for workflow efficiency. Ability to add external parties such as caregivers, case managers, or care teams.

Common Use Cases:

  • Enable multiple providers to treat a patient virtually. Connect provider to provider.

  • Patients can also connect with family members and/or decision-makers while connecting with their provider or clinician, especially in the cases of home health for senior care.

  • Connect multiple people in multiple places to increase efficiency and decrease back and forth communication.

Screen Share

Screen share allows you to do exactly that! Share the contents of your screen with other participants in the telehealth appointment. Both patients and providers have screen share capabilities on their desktops.

Common Use Cases:

  • Show examples directly to your patients via screen share. Show them treatments on your computer screen instantly.

  • Screen sharing is an easy yet powerful way to foster close collaboration. Providers can share live video of patient results and exam results.

  • Screen Sharing is great for in-depth group mental health therapy, guidance, support, and overall team collaboration.
